Looking for the Best Monitor for Day Trading? Read to know more.
Day traders may need a lot of different things to be successful – an up-to-date news feed, stock quotes, and charts that can show you the big picture. The best monitor for day trading is one that gives traders instant access to these tools as well as customizable layouts. It should also have low input lag and high refresh rates so it’s responsive and easy to use. Luckily we’ve found some monitors that will work well for day trading.
The best monitor for day trading is one with instant access to important features such as stocks and charts so you can quickly react when necessary. It should also have a low input lag and high refresh rate so it’s quick on your computer screen.
The most important thing for day traders is to have a good monitor. Without the proper equipment, it will be difficult to make accurate predictions and successful trades. The best monitors are usually expensive but they are worth every penny when you’re making money. Here’s what you should look for in a monitor:
Your screen must have high contrast so that you can see all of the different colors. A lot of people recommend not using glossy screens because they get dirty easily and reduce readability. You’ll want to get something with anti-glare if this is an issue for you. A high refresh rate (120Hz) is also very important since it reduces eye strain and makes everything on your screen more fluid.
If you’re planning on getting a monitor that doesn’t have speakers, make sure the sound is good enough to give off an impression of surround sound. Although you’ll probably be using headphones for your music, it’s helpful to have some decent speakers so you can hear any notifications from chatrooms or email.
Size matters too. If you’re going to be sitting close to the monitor, it must be large enough for you to see everything. You also don’t want your screen size to be too big or else you won’t know where and how much money is in your account (this gets pretty confusing). Lastly, make sure that the monitor has a resolution of at least 1080p so that you can see all of the graphs and numbers.
Top 7 Best Monitor for Day Trading
1. Dell Computer Ultrasharp U2415 24.0-Inch Screen LED Monitor
Dell Computer Ultrasharp U2415 is a 24-inch monitor that can be used for gaming, work, and entertainment. It features an IPS panel with 1920×1080 resolution and 99% sRGB color coverage. This screen has all the latest display technologies such as 8ms response time, 60Hz refresh rate, and 178° viewing angles. The Dell Computer Ultrasharp U2415 also comes in two different colors: white and black.
Although Dell U2415’s actual resolution is 1920×1080, it has a 16:10 aspect ratio. That means that even though the screen size is 24″, the display area of the monitor is 21.59″. In other words, you’ll have extra space on each side of your browser windows if you’re using 1920×1080 resolution for web browsing/internet use as opposed to Full HD 1920x1080p.
You may find black bars on the top or bottom of videos since they are not yet optimized for a 16:10 aspect ratio. This is very normal with screens that have a different aspect ratio than actual resolution, so don’t worry about it. The Dell U2415 has a TUV Ergonomic certification. That means you can adjust the height of its stand from 130mm to 590mm with 90° swivel left and right, 90° pivot from landscape to portrait orientation, and -5°/21° tilt for perfect viewing angles.
The Dell Computer Ultrasharp U2415 screen coating is not glossy which is great news if you don’t want any reflections. It is an anti-glare type with light 3H hardness so it will not leave fingerprints or smudges on your screen easily. You can use this monitor in different lighting conditions without fear of reflection although there will still be some glare off the screen depending on your angle. This coating is also the same one that Dell uses on its UltraSharp monitors.
The screen of the Dell U2415 is an IPS panel which stands for In-plane Switching, a type of technology used in LCDs where liquid crystals are sandwiched between two panels with electrodes set diagonally, allowing electrical current to flow across all three layers. This makes IPS panels great for wide viewing angles and color reproduction. Each pixel has two transistors, so no matter what angle you’re looking at it from, colors won’t appear washed out or faded. One disadvantage of IPS panels is slower pixel response times.
The Dell U2415 supports both wired and wireless networks. You can connect it to your router via an Ethernet cable to enjoy fast speeds or if you don’t want cables, you can connect this monitor to a wireless network and surf the web on its large display like a laptop’s. This way you won’t have cables running across your study/office/bedroom while having a big screen connected to your computer.

The Samsung Lc34j791wtnxza is a 34-inch curved monitor with an ultrawide screen. It supports AMD Freesync and has a 144hz refresh rate, making it the perfect choice for gamers. The Samsung Lc34j791wtnxza is a 34-inch curved monitor that has an Ultrawide screen with a 33:9 aspect ratio. It also supports AMD Freesync which allows the user to sync their framerate up with the monitor, which eliminates blur and tearing in games, giving you a better immersive playing experience.
The refresh rate of this product is 144hz, which is the optimal refresh rate for playing games. This monitor also comes with different ports so you can connect your PC to it using either Display Port or HDMI cables. It has an upscaling resolution of 2560 x 1080 which helps you view things on a bigger screen instead of keeping them on the smaller screens.

On the other hand, if you aren’t looking to pay extra money on your monitor but still want something good, investing in cheaper models would be a wiser idea.

7. Acer KG271U bmiippx 27″ WQHD (2560 x 1440) TN Gaming Monitor
The Acer KG271U bmiippx 27-inch WQHD is a perfect fit for anyone who wants to enjoy their favorite content in 4K quality. With its 16:9 aspect ratio and excellent detail, this monitor can display any media with more clarity than ever before. For those of you who are wondering how it compares to other monitors on the market right now, we have done some research and found some key differences between the KG271U and others out there.
The first difference we noticed was the contrast ratio. With a contrast ratio of 1000:1, this monitor shows every little detail and shadow in dark scenes. HD movies and games look better than ever, simply because the KG271U provides excellent black shades that add to the overall atmosphere. In comparison to its predecessor, Acer has increased it from 400:1 to 1000:1, which is a significant leap in quality.
Some of the other monitors on the market only have contrast ratios reaching up to 500:1. Additionally, when compared to older 27-inch WQHD monitors, this one has better color accuracy and more vivid colors. Thanks to its AHVA panel with wide viewing angles, you can see images from all possible angles without any detail being lost in poor lighting conditions. Moreover, it has excellent pixel responsiveness for games with high framerates.
Even though it doesn’t reach 4ms speed like some of the most expensive models out there, it still leaves very little room for negative remarks about its performance when used for casual gaming or watching movies. It has the perfect balance between picture quality and response time, which is reflected in its low input lag.
Compared to other monitors with similar features, the Acer KG271U has better color accuracy, contrast ratio, black depth, pixel responsiveness, and viewing angles at a much more affordable price range. Not only that it comes with support for FreeSync technology but also provides high-quality audio via Acer TrueHarmony speakers and a DTS sound system.
All of these make it an excellent monitor for everyday use and casual gaming on your PC or laptop. A true all-rounder that doesn’t disappoint when showing off your favorite media content. With a refresh rate of 144 Hz and 2 ms response time, it ensures you have smooth gameplay with minimal blur. This monitor also features split-screen capabilities to allow two games to be played side by side on one screen.
Additionally, this monitor has AMD FreeSync technology that reduces tearing and stuttering without adding input lag or affecting framerate performance. To top it off, this monitor has AOC Flicker-Free Technology that eliminates screen flickering for a more comfortable viewing experience.
- Excellent color accuracy and viewing angles at the AHVA panel.
- Provides excellent black shades through a 1000:1 contrast ratio.
- Has support for AMD FreeSync technology with low input lag.
- The stand is slightly wobbly and it doesn’t allow height adjustments.
How to Choose Best Monitor for Day Trading
Do you day trade? If so, then you should know that the monitor is one of the most crucial parts of your setup. In this blog post, we will cover what makes a good monitor for day trading and how to choose one. We will also talk about some alternatives if monitors are not something you want to spend money on.
First thing’s first – do you need a monitor at all? Many people believe that having a second screen is essential for their trading success, but it’s really up to personal preference. Some people may find they’re able to work more efficiently with two screens while others might find it distracting or unnecessary. It will depend on your personal preference and what you find easiest to work with. Now that the first question is out of the way, let’s talk about how you choose a good monitor for day trading.
First, you need to know what size monitor you want so you can set some parameters when it comes to your search. You’ll want to account for desk space since it’s almost guaranteed that if this is your first monitor ever, you’re going to need more space for it.
Keep in mind that the bigger the monitor, the harder it can be on your eyes if you are sitting further away from it. The general rule of thumb is that you should sit between arm’s length and an arm’s length and a half away from your monitor so this will help give you an idea of what size would work best with your current desk setup.
Resolution is important because it plays into how sharp text appears on screen as well as provides more space for multiple windows or tabs. Keep in mind that some cheaper monitors may come with lower resolutions which means grainier images – something you want to avoid if possible since looking at lower quality images won’t do your brain any favors when it comes to processing information.
These days 1080p resolution is standard on most monitors and will provide a sharp image without straining your eyes too much, but you have the option of going up to 1440 or even 4k so there are options if you want them. Keep in mind that a higher resolution monitor requires more power from your computer so if you plan on upgrading in the future, you may consider buying a lower resolution one for now. Also keep in mind that compared to other resolutions, 4k screens tend to use more battery life.
The refresh rate refers to how many times per second the screen updates which affects motion blur and delay time while scrolling or swiping across pages. You don’t need to worry about this for day trading or anything that doesn’t involve a ton of scrolling or quick movements, but if you’re doing editing work then it could be important. 100hz is the standard refresh rate so consider getting something close to that or at least double digits when it comes to the value here.
The contrast ratio tells you how much difference there is between black and white on your screen which is where the “contrast” in the name comes from. The higher your contrast ratio, the better image you’ll have on your screen so keep an eye out for this in reviews before buying a monitor.
Don’t stress too much about this number since they are advertised aggressively by manufacturers nowadays so they can sound impressive but in reality, you don’t need to worry much about screen performance when it comes to day trading.
Resolution vs Refresh Rate
A higher resolution monitor doesn’t necessarily mean a better image since that depends on the refresh rate and how quickly your computer can output high enough frame rates for this type of monitor (higher-end graphics cards and CPUs will be needed). It’s best to pick one or the other instead of trying to find a balance between them which is what we do at Right Click Capital. Some people may disagree with this statement, but our results speak for themselves.
This is the amount of time it takes for your monitor to receive data from your computer and display it on screen. Excluding gaming monitors, this shouldn’t be a concern unless you’re looking at extremely high-end displays that play into more expensive price ranges.
If you’re playing games then input lag may be an issue (although good graphics cards and CPUs can help reduce this) but if you’re doing day trading or using your computer for office work, input lag won’t be an issue so don’t worry about it too much unless you plan on using the monitor outside of what we recommend here.
The panel type determines how images are displayed which will determine color accuracy and such – something important if you do color-sensitive work. There are two main types. The cheapest and most common is Twisted Nematic (TN) which is what you will find on most lower-end/cheaper gaming monitors, but this comes with poor viewing angles and color accuracy so there’s a reason why we don’t recommend them for traders.
Instead, look for In-Plane Switching (IPS) panels which provide much better colors and viewing angles than TN at the cost of being pricier and less suited for gaming performance even though they can be decent enough. If you’re not sure then just ask us and we’ll let you know if it’s appropriate or not – we’ve seen it all before.
This refers to how well the monitor stays in place when you accidentally knock it or move it. Generally, the cheaper the monitor the worse this will be so if you’re getting one of these then expect to have problems with stabilization which isn’t good for day trading since you’ll need a secure place to put your screen that doesn’t shake or vibrate when you touch your desk or when your computer is running at higher frame rates.
A lot of times included accessories are lower quality so keep an eye out for those before buying a new monitor as they can make a big difference especially if they provide features like height adjustment and such. Sometimes manufacturers will include things like speakers, but those aren’t useful for most traders so don’t worry too much about this unless you plan on using your monitor as a TV as well (which is possible with some of the more expensive ones).
Monitor vs Display: What’s The Difference?
Computer displays are one of those devices that are mostly taken for granted until something goes wrong with them. Even if your computer monitor has been acting funny lately, you might not have even considered looking up information about which monitor will work best for you specifically before simply purchasing another one.
If you’ve ever wondered about the difference between computer displays and computer monitors, this article will help to explain what they are and how they might be different from one another.
What is a Monitor?
The term monitor can refer to a variety of devices that allow for interaction with your computer, some examples being: CRT (cathode ray tube) computer monitor, LCD (liquid crystal display) monitor, more recently LED (light-emitting diode) monitors, and Plasma monitors.
You can get information about purchasing these types of devices at wholesale merchants such as Monitors Direct, so if you think it’s time for an upgrade or simply want to try something new perhaps these useful tips can help.
What is a Display?
The term display most often refers to how information is shown on your computer monitor. This can be in either an analog or digital format, with most monitors usually showing information in both ways (similar to how most television sets are capable of receiving and displaying both analog and digital transmissions).
Different Types of Monitors for Day Trading
For many home-based day traders, two monitor devices would prove useful if they wish to increase their daily yield: LCD (liquid crystals display) monitors and LED (light-emitting diode) monitors. Before making a decision about which one would work best for you it is important to know some basic information regarding these technology types so that you can make an educated choice when it comes time to choose the ideal monitor for your day trading needs.
LED (Light Emitting Diode) Monitors:
These monitors are comprised of small LED lights that function much like the old LCD (liquid crystals display) models did. The main benefit of these models is that they don’t use nearly as much electricity as their LCD counterparts, which makes them a good choice if you wish to avoid depleting your energy resources too quickly when working at home where your power supply might not be stable/consistent.
An important thing to understand about LED monitors, in particular, is that while they tend to be easy on the eyes and can prevent eyestrain or other related problems, they typically do not show images in the best manner possible since every individual pixel always emits its color (unlike LCD monitors that illuminate colors within every single pixel).
LCD (Liquid Crystals Display) Monitors:
This type of monitor works very much like an old fashion television set. These flat screen models are capable of showing color images on the screen with excellent detail by illuminating them using thousands upon thousands of pixels or dots, which can be adjusted for varying degrees between dark and light ones.
The main benefits of using these types of devices are that they offer great clarity and picture quality, plus they do not emit harmful ultraviolet rays so they pose little threat to your eyesight. One disadvantage about this type is that they can sometimes cause eyestrain or other related problems if not used properly.
This type uses plasma gas to light up the screen of your monitor, which allows for better color contrast and high-resolution images. One drawback about this type of display is that it can cause substantial eyestrain if used for extended periods since they usually do not emit any form of backlighting (unlike some other LCD models).
LED vs LCD Monitors
If you are having trouble deciding between an LED or LCD model then perhaps the following information might help you make a more informed decision. The primary difference between these two types has more to do with what they are made of rather than how they work. LED monitors tend to be cheaper than their LCD counterparts but on the other hand, they also offer a more limited viewing area.
LCD monitors have the benefit of being able to offer a better level of sharpness and clarity, which can be particularly useful for those who spend most of their day looking at screen displays due to the detailed nature of their work/job/vocations. Choosing between an LED or LCD ultimately comes down to your needs as an individual consumer along with your budget limitations.
Because LED monitors use fewer resources from your computer they may last longer than LCD models since they do not drain power as quickly (which also makes them easier on the environment if you care about such things). However, because LED displays are currently less popular it is much harder to find them in stores unless you specifically search online for them.
LED vs Plasma Monitor
Just like any of the other technologies mentioned above, you will find that LED and plasma monitors also have their own unique set of pros and cons. While LED models are often less expensive than their plasma counterparts, they don’t offer the same quality of high-definition images nor do they come with as large of a viewing area (which is particularly important for those who plan to use them for gaming purposes).
On the other hand, compared to LCD models plasma monitors are typically larger but more durable since they are not made up of glass/plastic components. Another advantage is that they can offer uniform lighting across the entire screen without having to rely on backlighting. This means that users will likely suffer from less eyestrain than they would if they were to use other types of monitors.
The main thing you should consider when choosing between an LED or plasma monitor is whether or not you need a large display area since the other two factors (price and resolution) are not as important for most people.
We hope you found our guide on “Best Monitor for Day Trading” helpful. You can choose from a range of sizes and resolutions, so it should be easy to find one that suits your needs! Whether you’re looking at 4K or 1080p models, we recommend making sure they have an IPS panel with great viewing angles and fast refresh rates (less than 5ms).
Some people like curved screens as well, but this is more personal preference than anything else. If you want help finding the perfect monitor for day trading purposes, don’t hesitate to reach out; we’re happy to consult with you on any aspect of your trade screen purchase-including resolution options and connectivity types.
