Are you also confused regarding 720p vs 1080p vs 1440p vs 4K vs 8K – Which should I choose? Well, then you are in the right place.
If it’s not, a good compromise would be a 2K screen with the possibility to upscale to full HD. It’s also important to take into account the screen size, as some screens look much better in small sizes.
Choose a monitor that has a wide color gamut (like Adobe RGB). A wide color gamut allows you to produce more colors, which is especially important when editing images.
When using Photoshop, a wide color gamut monitor can help you to better reproduce your final colors. You can always downscale to 1080p. The best monitor resolution depends on what kind of game you play.
If you play single-player games (like Overwatch), the maximum resolution for FPS games is 1920×1080, because that is the native resolution of the human eye.
For multiplayer games, like PUBG, the maximum resolution is 2560×1440, because that is the native resolution of the human eye and most PC monitors. I think everybody wants a clear and crisp picture, but not all pictures are created equal. Some are clear and crisp and some are muddy and unclear. So, what should you choose as your resolution? Here is the answer.
The Highest Resolvable Pixels Per Inch That You Can Get! That’s the only resolution you need. If you have a super-duper computer, then by all means get the highest possible video resolution your computer can handle.
However, most people do not have a super-duper computer. Therefore, I suggest you get the highest possible pixels per inch that your computer can handle.
Let’s see why 1080p is the most common video resolution these days.
It has 1,920 pixels in the horizontal direction and 1,080 pixels in the vertical direction. Therefore, it has a total of 2,100,000 pixels. Now let’s see what happens if we double the number of pixels.

What Is Screen Resolution?
Screen resolution is an important concept to understand when purchasing a new computer or viewing graphics-heavy websites. Its definition is simple: it refers to the amount of detail that can be displayed on a computer monitor or another type of electronic device.
It’s typically measured in pixels, with higher resolutions resulting in sharper images and clearer text. Companies like Apple and Microsoft focus heavily on producing products with high-resolution displays so users can get the most out of their digital experiences.
Deciding which product and resolution to choose might seem overwhelming at first, but learning about the various display technologies and considering our individual needs will help us find what best suits us.
2,100,000 Pixels = 2,100,000/1,600 = 1,350,000 PPI
So now we have got a whopping 1,350,000 pixels per inch. But wait! This is not the highest possible PPI. The highest possible PPI that can be resolved by the naked eye is about 3,300,000 PPI.
What Is PPI?
PPI stands for “Pixels Per Inch” and it is the number of pixels on an electronic screen or paper that are necessary to create a recognizable picture. For example, a computer monitor has a resolution of 1,600×1,200 which means it has 2,100,000 pixels.
If you double the number of pixels (i.e. 4,200), then you will get a PPI of 6,300 which is the highest PPI that can be recognized by the naked eye. However, even this is not the highest PPI that you can get.
The highest PPI that can be recognized by the naked eye is about 7,680,000 PPI. This is because our eyes can resolve up to 7,680,000 PPI. However, we cannot see this high number because the human eye is not equipped for this. Our eyes have a maximum resolving power of 2,400,000 PPI.
Therefore, electronic devices (like computer screens) have a higher resolving power than our eyes. The Highest Resolvable Pixels Per Inch That You Can Get! So now, let’s talk about video resolution. If you are capturing videos in good lighting conditions then you will be able to see clearly and crisply whatever is on your video screen or paper.
720p vs 1080p vs 1440p vs 4K vs 8K: The Best Screen Resolution For Gaming
If you are a serious gamer, you absolutely must have an HD screen. Period. It doesn’t matter if it’s an iPad, a desktop computer, a PlayStation, an XBOX,ultra-high-definition, or whatever.
If you are a serious gamer, you should only use screens that are at least 720p (Standard Definition) or 1080p (High Definition). Anything less and you’ll notice a big difference in the quality of your gaming experience. Even on an iPad.
Why is screen resolution so important to gamers? It’s simple. The higher the screen resolution, the better the image quality and the crisper and clearer the picture you see on the screen.
This means you will see more of what’s happening on the screen which translates to a more immersive and “real” gaming experience. Also, a higher screen resolution allows for more on-screen action which makes it easier for you to play multiplayer games.
Ultra-high-definition
If you have a lower screen resolution, it will be more difficult to tell what’s going on in the game and you may even get disoriented. This is very common when new players jump into multi-player games and they don’t have the “glue” that the other players possess.
It’s sort of like someone learning how to drive by watching an old Humphrey Bogart movie.
They can follow the plot, but it will be difficult for them to visualize exactly what the road looks like. In the same way, it’s hard for a new gamer to “see” the road when playing a multiplayer game.
On the other hand, if you have an HD screen (or 4k UHD), you’ll see everything clearly and easily and have no problems at all navigating the road.
What About The Frame Rate?
For a smooth gameplay experience, you should aim for at least 60 FPS. In the end, we decided to go with the lowest-cost solution we could find (around $200. and a resolution of 1920x1080p. But what if you are capturing videos in poor lighting conditions? Or what if there is some sort of glare on your video screen or paper?
In these situations, you will not be able to see clearly and crisply whatever is on your video screen or paper. And this will result in a muddy and unclear picture. So, how do we solve this problem?
The answer is simple… Get the highest Pixels Per Inch that your computer can handle! If you have a super-duper, computer, then you can get the highest possible PPI that your computer can handle.
However, most people do not have a super-duper computer. Therefore, I suggest you get the highest possible PPI that your computer can handle. Let’s see why:
A computer captures images in the form of electric signals. These electric signals are transmitted to the video card of your computer which converts them to RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) color values.
These three numbers are then sent to the video monitor where they are displayed in different colors. The more RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) values that are available, the brighter and clearer will be the colors on your video screen or paper.
However, there is a limit to the number of RGB values that can be handled by a video monitor. The maximum number of RGB values that can be handled by a video monitor is about 16,777,216 (hexadecimal).
Does 4K Look Better On 1080p Or 1440p?
4K UHD TVs are capable of displaying about 1,000,000 pixels (pixels are the individual dots that make up a digital image) as opposed to the more traditional 1080p HDTVs (about 930,000 pixels). This means that 4K has a much higher resolution and therefore looks much “cleaner” and crisper than 1080p.
For most people, this is a good thing. However, if you have an older 1080p TV or one with less-than-perfect viewing angles, then you may notice a difference in how crisp and clear 4K looks on your screen when compared to 1080p.
In this case, you may want to consider upgrading to a 4K TV to take advantage of all the benefits it offers.
On the other hand, if you have a brand new ultra-high-definition ultra-high-definition TV with great viewing angles, then you probably won’t see any difference whatsoever between how crisp and clear 4K looks when compared to 1080p.
In this case, you can safely keep your current 1080p TV and enjoy all the benefits that come with owning a 4K TV.
What Is Better 720p Or 1080p Or 4K?
Most people who buy a TV are buying it to enjoy watching their favorite shows, movies, and sports. When you watch something on TV, what you are primarily paying for is the image quality.
Therefore, if you are paying attention to image quality, then you should consider getting a 4K TV. If you have an older HDTV or one with less-than-perfect viewing angles, then you may notice a difference in how crisp.
The clear 4K looks when compared to 1080p. In this case, you may want to consider upgrading to a 4K TV to take advantage of all the benefits it offers. However, even though the image quality is the main thing you should be paying attention to, there are other factors as well.
For example, if you are an avid movie watcher, then you probably want to get a 720p TV because that will give you the best combination of picture quality and price.
On the other hand, if you don’t watch a lot of movies, then you may want to consider getting a 1080p or even a 4K TV. This will mainly depend on your personal preference.
Is 720p Better Than 1440p?
This is something I’m often asked by my readers. The short answer is yes, it is generally better. When you have a high-quality, new TV, there won’t be much of a difference in picture quality whether you are watching 720p, 1080p, or even 4K.
However, if your current TV was made in the last couple of years or if it has less than perfect viewing angles, then you may notice that 1080p looks a little bit crisper and clearer than 720p.
In this case, you may want to consider upgrading to a 4K TV to take advantage of all the benefits it offers. On the other hand, if your current TV was made 10 or more years ago, or if it has perfect viewing angles, then you probably won’t see any difference whatsoever between how crisp and clear 720p looks when compared to 1080p.
In this case, you can safely keep your current 1080p TV and enjoy all the benefits that come with owning a 4K TV.
What Is The Difference Between 1080p And 4K?
When you watch something on TV, what you are primarily paying for is the image quality. Therefore, if you are paying attention to image quality, then you should consider getting a 4K TV. Which One Should I Use?
The short answer is… it depends! There are several different factors to consider when choosing the video quality option you want to use. The first thing you need to decide is what you are going to use the video for.
Will you be watching the video on a computer or a TV or maybe on both? If you are going to use the video on a computer or a tablet, then you should use the 720p option.
That way, your video will be clear and crisp and you won’t have to worry about the video being too small to see or read. If you are going to use the video on a TV or a monitor, then you should use the 1080p option.
That way, the picture will be crystal clear and crisp and you won’t have to worry about the video being too small to see or read.
Conclusion
As you can see, there are many different things you should consider when purchasing a new TV. However, the main thing you should be considering is the image quality.
If you are paying attention to this, then you should consider getting a 4K TV. If you are not, then you should probably just stick with the 720p option. Either way, you should consider getting a high-quality, new TV.
